Edmonton, Alberta's downtown is the heart of the capital city and in the midst of a major transformation. Multiple construction and revitalization projects are underway to make downtown attractive and accessible for everyone.

Sir Winston Churchill Square is Edmonton's main gathering place situated between City Hall and the Stanley A. Milner Library (currently closed for renovation). The square will also feature a new Valley Line LRT station by 2020.

ICE District is a multi-use development centered around Rogers Place, the new home for the Edmonton Oilers NHL hockey team. The arena facility and accompanying commercial and residential towers were the catalyst of development for a reimagined Downtown Edmonton.

The downtown is also home to the new Royal Alberta Museum that is set to open in 2018. Jasper Avenue and Capital Boulevard which leads up to the Provincial Legislature are undergoing rehabilitation. Also, the Mechanized River Valley Access (funicular) now provides easier access to the iconic River Valley near the Low Level Bridge.

Downtown Edmonton is located 97 Street NW to 109 Street NW and from 97 Avenue NW to 104 Avenue NW in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
